Photos from just before Nikon demise

I finally discovered a slot for memory cards in my computer...and retrieved some photos from February, before my Nikon died. (Yes, new camera is coming, but since, you know, that volcano in Iceland has other plans, it's taking a while.)

Whenever I'm trying to read or do some work on my bed, darling kitty finds it awfully cozy to plop down in front of me, obscuring all view of the papers.

But like many college students, Lilly finds reading Dr. Faustus a bit exhausting.

Perhaps some coffee would help...

Or, a more kitty-friendly snack...

Happenings

Crazy day.

Story: after discovering that two of the metro stations I usually use were closed, I found a different one. With a very long transfer. We were all trying to walk fast on the moving walkway, and attempting to pass the slower folks. Until all of a sudden, everything backed up, and we weren't going anywhere. Turns out everyone was trying to merge into one single-file line. The culprit? A man picking lint off his black jeans.

Second story:
Dear Volcano Eyjafjallajokull (lovely Icelandic name!),

Please stop spewing volcano goodness. So that people can fly. And enjoy their spring breaks.

Sincerely,
Your sleepy expert Kayak searcher.
